Pre-Christmas special with Cloud 9 band and Cloud 9 Community Choir

On Friday December 9th 2022, Cloud 9 band and Cloud 9 Community Choir held a pre-Christmas special at Chesterton Community Centre, Chesterton, Oxon to raise funds for Alexandra House of Joy.

This fundraising musical entertainment event included a fantastic raffle. The Cloud 9 Community Choir entertained a full house with a mixture of Christmas carols and songs.

Soloist, Emily Ottaway, did a wonderful rendition of Silent Night, Holy Night.

In total the event raised the wonderful sum of £1,044!

Cllr Les Sibley’s Charity Dinner Raises Funds

Councillor Les Sibley, Chair of Cherwell District Council, organised a large charity dinner – sponsored by Bicester Village – in aid of Alexandra House of Joy, his chosen charity during his reign of office for 2023/2024.

The dinner was held at the Heyford Hotel, Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire – a wonderful venue – and was well attended. Guests included a number of ‘the chain gang’ from across Oxfordshire, the High Sheriff, and a group of militaries from the US air base in Croughton.

There was a substantial raffle which all helped towards the final total raised: £4,600!
