On July 24th 2022 a wonderful afternoon tea was served by the very kind and generous owner and staff of The Littlebury Hotel, Bicester to raise funds for our Charity. The setting was perfect and 70 people came to it making it a very successful event indeed.
The Cloud 9 Band came to entertain playing delightful nostalgic 1940’s music and it was a joy to see some of the guests get up and dance. It was a lovely afternoon tea dance!
Once again we are indebted to the incredible kindness of Mike McKeown and his staff (especially the chef!) for such a memorable afternoon. Enormous thanks goes also to the fabulous Cloud 9 Band – Amanda, Des, Celia, Daniel and Emily. Celia was very ill that day, and her place was taken by her 15 year old daughter Emily, who did a wonderful job. Our thanks also go to Emily Lane and her friend Hannah, two student friends who very kindly came to wait at the tables. They did a fantastic job. Thanks also to Kathy Liddell for the work beforehand on advertising and ticket sales, to all the very generous people who gave prizes for the raffle, and for everyone who bought the tickets and came to support us.
£713 was raised for which we are very grateful. How blessed we are to have such wonderful support.
