Its Been a Busy Summer….

We’ve been out and about this summer, raising funds for Alexandra House ofJoy.

We attended the Bicester Big Lunch on June 2nd raising £376. Rachael & Ian visited Chesterton Football Club on June 3rd to thank them for their gift of £500.

Carol, Mathew, Rita, Jane & Lisa have been running a very successful market stall throughout the summer & ongoing in Sheep Street every Fri 10-2 & on June 8th Rachael & Wendy raised £100 with a vintage & antiques stall at Razzamatazz in Woodstock.

Deva Church in Prestatyn North Wales held a lunch on 23rd June raising £420.

Thankyou Bicester Ladies Circle for the wonderful Blingo Night.

A great time was had by all, there were some amazing prizes and lots of laughter.

What a truly marvellous idea. 

Thankyou also to all the helpers, supporters and donators,

and the Angel Pub for their generosity.

An amazing £705 was raised, we are hugely grateful to you all.

We have some wonderful news to share with you.

The new Mayor of Bicester Jason Slaymaker has chosen Alexandra House of Joy 

as one of his 4 charities to raise money for during his Mayoral year.

Huge congratulations to Jason on his election,

and many, many thanks for choosing Alexandra House of Joy, its an honour and a privilege.


Indian Night

Indian Dancing and Dinner…

A huge great big enormous THANKYOU to anyone who took part

in our very successful and colourful Indian evening.

A thoroughly good time was had by all. We enjoyed a delicious Indian meal,

then settled back to watch some stunning Indian dancing.

There was a wonderfully warm atmosphere throughout the evening,

and we managed to raise a fantastic £2,177 WOW.

It was an enormous team effort on what was an extremely emotional night,

THANKYOU so much to anyone who took part.


Alexandra Scott-Hunter

We’re heartbroken to tell you that the inspiration for Alexandra House of Joy,

Alexandra Scott-Hunter passed peacefully away March 26th in Sobell House, Oxford.

Much loved and deeply respected, a truly beautiful and inspirational lady.

Our thoughts, prayers and love go out to all her family and friends. 

Let us all pull together and support this amazing charity in Alexandra’s name.

Creating a sanctuary where her friends and their friends can feel safe,

secure, loved, valued and respected as they deserve to be.
