During the Cherwell District Council AGM, held on May 17th 2023 at the Cherwell District Council offices in Bodicote, Banbury, Cllr Les Sibley presented Ian and Rachael with a cheque for £10,600 – the total fundraising amount raised during the 2022-2023 as Cllr Sibley’s elected charity.
Throughout his recent term of office as Chair of Cherwell District Council from May 2022 – 2023, Cllr Sibley held various fundraising functions and raised wonderful funds for the target goal to build Alexandra House of Joy and purchase necessary computer equipment for the charity. Part of his fundraising campaign was the ‘Buy a Brick’ appeal which raised almost £4,000.
Councillor Sibley also confirmed Alexandra House of Joy as his elected charity for his second term of office, 2023-2024.
“Cllr Sibley has been an incredible ambassador for us and having someone truly believe in our vision and mission, and who actively seeks to support our mammoth fundraising target, is enormously encouraging.” – Rachael Scott-Hunter, Chair and Founder of Alexandra House of Joy
We are grateful to Cllr Sibley and all of our supporters for their ongoing dedication to our fundraising efforts.
